Playing in the Light - CANCELLED

This weekend is for newcomers and experienced Godly Play/Faith & Play users, and will include:

—Playing in the Light training for those new to this work or Friends interested in a refresher. This is the core training to use Godly Play and Faith & Play stories.
—Training participants will go home with one set of story materials for each genre (Old Testament, Parables of Jesus, Quaker stories) that they have made.
—Story sharing with members of the Faith & Play Group, deepen-ing the practice of Friends already trained
—"Make and Take" workshop to create story materials for already-trained Friends attending
—Story sharing, fellowship, trading of experiences and
support

Melinda Wenner Bradley will lead the core training in Godly Play/Faith & Play, “Playing in the Light.” Melinda is an accredited Godly Play® trainer who works with Quaker meetings and Friends schools around the coun-try. Melinda will be joined by col-leagues in the Faith & Play Sto-ries leadership, the group of Friends who publish the stories and develop materials for them. David Wakeley, Sallie Welte, Candace Shattuck, and Margo Lehman will facilitate storytelling and materials-making.
