We will work together, using contemplative experiences to deepen intimacy with all beings, worship sharing, and discussion, to create a new (old) story of how to apply Quaker testimonies to the entire Circle of Life. We will ask ourselves and the living world, given our understanding of continuous revelation, how can we understand our Testimonies of Unity, Equality, Integrity, Community, Simplicity, and Peace as directing us toward harmonious and reciprocal relationships which respect the inherent integrity of the Earth community? How would our living into that witness both to and in the world?

Mary Ann (she/her/hers) carries a life-long spiritual concern for the living world/Earth and all our relations. She is an experienced presenter in Quaker circles, currently serves as an NPYM rep to Quaker Earthcare Witness (QEW) and previously served on Friends Committee on Unity with Nature (the previous name for QEW) from 1994-1998.  Mary Ann is a trained Joanna Macy facilitator in The Work that Reconnects (WTR), and has worked as a hospice chaplain, massage therapist, and spiritual guide/companion.  She is a member of Bellingham Friends Meeting (NPYM.) Her article, "A New Story for Earth..."  published in Western Friend in November 2019, is available here--

Rachel grew up on an acre of land in the Nooksack watershed (original home of the Lummi and Nooksack peoples) and comes from a long line of farmers and theologians. From a very young age, the land and the living world has been a loving refuge for her. She has trained with Joseph Cornell and has written and presented workshops on teaching math and empathy in nature. Rachel has studied herbalism for many years, has trained as a chaplain and is currently completing a Masters Degree from Earlham School of Religion. She now works as a farmer.
