Creating in the Light: Virtual Workshop Series 2020

Registration is closed for this event

What can the act of creation do in this time, now?

Through all forms of creativity, we find opportunities for deepening our spiritual journey.  In a creative community, we will delve into the interrelationship between creativity and spirituality through a variety of art forms, including quilting, puppet-making, sculpting with found objects, drawing and painting, knitting, crochet, origami, and crafting.  Each area will be led by a specialist, and the time will be rich with worship and creating.  The weekend culminates with a “black tie opening,” in which you’ll see photos of one another’s creations and have a chance to talk about them.

Worried that you don’t have the supplies on hand?  For most art forms, we can adapt to what you already have.  You’ll “choose your own adventure,” joining various groups by following the schedule and videoconference links provided.

Gabi Savory-Bailey and Anne Pomeroy will frame work sessions with invitations to experience community, as well as the connection between art and spirit.
